Father's Day

Every year since Jet's been born, on Father's Day we draw Steve's hands and feet in blue, mine in red, and paint Jet's in green. So this year for father's day because we have some extra kiddos we did there too. All the kids hands and feet, but we also added Casey, Skylar, Kylie and Logan's fingerprints and toe prints to Jet's page so that we know in the future that they were here and celebrated this father's day with us. So we have this special one just like the one two years ago when Jet broke his foot, we have his left foot boot outlined in green.

Rare Moment - All the kids playing together nicely!! These pictures came in very handy later in the day then Casey tired to make a case for not having to clean up because she didn't play! A pictures worth a thousand words!!!

by the end of the game Jet and Kylie couldn't even get the ball down the lane. Next time we are doubling them up as one player, Jet will throw the first ball and Kylie the second.

They're Here!

For those of you who do not know my sister's four children are coming to live with us for a year while she is diploid to Iraq. We prepared for my mother to come on Friday, and for Jessica and Chris and the kids to coming on Sunday night or Monday morning. Well... Saturday evening my Dad called and said he and my grandparents were coming down to see Jessica before she leaves and that they should be here at 2 or 3 AM. So after a few seconds of freaking out, I got to working making up two more guest beds. So they arrived Sunday morning at 2:30am and Jessica, Chris and the kids arrived Sunday around 8 pm. Dad and Grandpa and ma left Monday morning and Jessica and Chris left this morning. Mom will leave in the morning, and I will be committed into the nut house shortly after!! Just kidding! We are going to have a great time. We will update family and friends with pics and have some really fun things planned. Don't be surprised if updates are sometime long or few. There's a big change from one to five! I look forward to keeping you all updated.

Kids say the darnest things!

So we (Steve, Jet and I) are at the grocery store when Jet sees a carton of brown eggs. The conversation went as follows:

Jet- Mom, can we have some chocolate milk eggs?

Steve and Brandy - laughing begins

Jet- They are healthy and good for you

Steve and Brandy - laughing strengthens and a few tears are shed

Retraction

I am apologizing to my (to be accurate, so I don’t have to write another retraction) to my Stepson Will. In the prior blog “Florida” my wording may have implied that Will was the one using the wheelchair ramp when in fact the deck and ramp will be used…
Wait a second, he will be using the deck and ramp, he is just not in or in use of a wheelchair at this time or in the past…
Not that there is anything wrong with that!
(For those who may be reading this, that last line is a Seinfeld joke)
So I am apologizing to Will and his family for the grief and turmoil I may have caused do to my lack of journalist capabilities.(Again for those who are reading this: I love my family, I just enjoy giving them a hard time.)
